Women's Basketball small forward Anan Abbatulam and Men's Basketball forward Jeremiah Brown are your Huskies Athletes of the Week for the period ending February 11th.
Anan Abbatulam
In the final game of the season, first-year forward Abbatulam had a standout performance as George Brown secured a 74-57 victory over the Centennial Colts.
She recorded 18 points, 13 rebounds and five steals, all of which were career-highs plus it marked her first double-double off the bench.
Jeremiah Brown
Brown delivered a stellar performance against the Centennial Colts, propelling the Huskies to secure second place in the East Division with a narrow 85-84 victory. On his graduation night, the fifth-year forward led the team with a game-high 26 points and 14 rebounds, including five offensive rebounds, along with a block and a steal. His first double-double of the season proved pivotal for the team.
Brown came up massively for the Huskies in the fourth quarter. Trailing 83-75 with just two minutes remaining, he drained consecutive three-pointers, one of which resulted in a four-point play, igniting the comeback. He registered 11 of the team's 22 points in the final quarter.
