ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Finishing up the season with a CCAA national silver medal. Men’s Basketball forwards Jeremiah Brown and Christian Tabiri are your Huskies Athletes of the Week for the period ending March 17th.

Jeremiah Brown
The fifth-year forward played a pivotal role in securing the silver medal for the team at the CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship. He averaged a team-high 18 points per game, along with five rebounds, 2.3 assists, two steals, and a block across the three games. It was the program's best result at Nationals since 1976 and was named a CCAA First Team All-Star.

Brown’s best game happened in the semi-finals against the Mount Allison Mounties. He went 11-of-14 from the field for a game-high 27 points, seven rebounds and four steals to push the team to the Championship final. Most of his points came in the second half, as he only missed one of his 11 shots for 23 points. 


Christian Tabiri
Throughout the season, the fourth-year forward displayed remarkable consistency, a trend that continued at the CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship, contributing to the team's silver medal finish. He averaged 13.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and a block, earning recognition as a CCAA First Team All-Star.

Tabiri’s stand-out performance came in the semi-finals against the Mount Allison Mounties. He filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists. In the fourth quarter, he was a beast in the paint, grabbing six rebounds, three of which were offensive.
