Haany Ahmed
Third-year guard Haany Ahmed (Richmond Hill, ON) had himself an impactful season opener this past Friday against Centennial. Ahmed was on fire all night long including a fourth quarter where the guard went 4-4 to help seal the win for the Huskies. Ahmed finished the game with 21 points while shooting 57% from the floor, and added four rebounds and four steals to his stat line. Ahmed and the Huskies will now look to Wednesday as they take on the Seneca Sting in the home opener, tipoff scheduled for 8PM.
Victoria Lawrence
Second-year transfer Victoria Lawrence (Ottawa, ON) was a force on the court Friday night against the Colts. Lawrence collected her first double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes of play. She also had two assists and two steals in the win. Lawrence and the team take on the Seneca Sting next on Wednesday night, tipoff scheduled for 6PM.
