Baseball has a busy week with five games in seven days

Baseball looks to bounce back after a tough loss to Fanshawe last weekend. They will have a busy week of baseball as the team will play a total of five games in seven days.
 
The Huskies will look to its pitching core to continue its strong performance as both Joe Giansante and David DeCassan have kept opposing batters at bay, hitting under .286 when either of the two are on the mound. 
 
First up the Huskies will see Humber twice in the next three days as the team travels to Connorvale today, and Humber will then visit Christie pits on Wednesday to finish off the season series between the two teams. Humber is currently 10-2 on the season. First pitch is at 6PM. 
 
The Huskies will then take to the road as they travel south to face off against the newcomer Lambton Lions on Saturday. Lambton currently sits 0-7 on the season. First pitch is at 1PM. 
 
Finally, the team will finish off the road trip with doubleheader on Sunday against St.Clair. The Saints took the last meeting between the two teams 6-2. St. Clair currently sits 7-4 on the season. First pitch is at 1PM.
 

Soccer heads on weekend road trip to Kingston and Ottawa

The Soccer teams are coming off stellar performances as both teams swept their weekend homestand. The teams will now travel East as they take on both St. Lawrence and Algonquin over the two-day trip 
 
The Women's team will look to first-year players Makayla Cabral and Kristina Anderson, and veteran Brianna Samuels-McLaughlin to continue their strong offensive performances when they meet St.Lawrence on Friday. This will be the first meeting between the two schools since the new divisional alignment of 2019. St. Lawrence is coming off 2-1 win over Centennial this past Saturday and currently sit 4-1-1. 
 
The Men's team hopes to keep firing on all cylinders and will look to Filipe Vilela to keep up his stellar performance from this past weekend where Vilela had eight of the team's 16 goals. This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season. St. Lawrence is coming off a 3-2 win over Centennial and currently sits at 2-1-2 on the season. 
 
Both teams will then have a quick turn around as they head to the nation's capital to take on the Algonquin Thunder on Saturday, October 5th. Algonquin's women's team are currently 6-0 and the men's team 5-0, with both teams coming off victories over Durham College on the weekend. Kick-off is set for 1PM and 3:15PM. 
 

 
Cross Country travels to London for meet at Fanshawe

Location: Fanshawe College 
 
The Cross Country team will travel south as they head to London to take part in their third meet of the season at Fanshawe College.
 
The Huskies will look to keep building as they get closer to provincials, anchored by rookie runner Kenzie Osborne. Osborne has finished in the top ten in the team's last two meets, finishing fifth at Fleming and ninth at Seneca. Women's race starts at 11AM followed by the Men's race at 12PM. 
 

 
Pre-season Competition 
 
(October 3rd-6th) Women Basketball will take part in the Dawson Classic in Montreal Quebec.
(October 4th-5th) Men's Basketball will take part in the David Stewart Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Durham College. 
(October 5th-6th) Women's Volleyball will take part in the Niagara Invatational hosted by Niagara College.
