HUSKIES DROP BOTH GAMES AGAINST LAMBTON

The men's baseball team dropped both games to the Lambton Lions on Friday (Sept. 30) at home. 

Game 1: Lambton 5, George Brown 2

 It was a pitchers duel in the first game as only 12 hits were recorded between the two teams. The difference was the Huskies were able to cash in on their opportunities. They left nine players on base compared to the Lions 3.

Second-year pitcher Finlay Butler continued his impressive play this season. He pitched a complete game, allowing five runs on four hits, three walks and striking out eight. 


Game 2: Lambton 5, George Brown 1

The Huskies bats were once again held in check. They went 5-of-26 in the game while only having just seven batters on base.

Second-year pitcher Nathan Brown got the start and went five innings, allowing three runs on nine hits and two walks.

The Huskies are back on the diamond in less than 24 hours as they host the St. Clair Saints (Oct. 1) on Sunday afternoon.
