HUSKIES FALL TO ST. CLAIR

HUSKIES FALL TO ST. CLAIR

The men's baseball team lost both games to the St. Clair Saints on Sunday (Oct. 1) afternoon.

Game 1: St. Clair 13, George Brown 1

The Huskies offence was cold for the third straight contest. They only had three runners on the base the entire game. First-year pitcher Nathan Brown drove in the lone run for the team.

Game 2: St. Clair 6, George Brown 5

The Huskies bounced back and went hit-for-hit with the OCAA top team but couldn't come away with the win.

It started in the first inning. The Saints opened up with a three-run first inning, and the Huskies responded in the bottom half with two runs. The theme continued throughout the game. Trailing by two runs in the bottom of the fifth, first-year outfielder Marcus Herback slammed a two-run homerun to make the game 5-5.

The Saints made it 6-5 in the top of the seventh. In response, the Huskies had a man on first and second with two outs, but Kyle Bandura struck out to end the game.

Third-year pitcher Michael Guardiero picked up the loss in relief of start Nathan Long
