HUSKIES SWEPT BY DURHAM

The men's baseball team dropped both games to the Durham Lords on Friday (Oct. 6) night on the road.

Game 1: George Brown 4, Durham 3
Trailing 4-0 in the top of the seventh, the Huskies started to mount a comeback. Braeden Tremblay got things started with a pinch-hit RBI double. Nick Manoukarakis and Ciaran O'Dowd followed suit with back-to-back RBI to make it a one-score game, but that was as close as the team got.

For the third time this season, second-year pitcher Finlay Butler was the only George Brown thrower in the game. He went six innings, allowing four runs off six hits, four walks and striking out four.

Game 2: George Brown 5, Durham 16
The Huskies weren't able to contain the Lords offence, as the home team had a batting average of .536 in the game.

First-year infielder Marcus Herback was a bright spot for the team, going 3-of-3 from the plate and recording a run. It marked the third time that Herback put up three-plus hits in the game this season.
