HUSKIES MEN'S BASKETBALL COME UP SHORT TO LORDS

The George Brown's men's basketball (1-1) lost to the Durham Lords (2-1) 97-93 in their home opener on Tuesday night (Nov 1). 
 
The Huskies entered this game after defeating the Seneca Sting 78-70 in George Brown's season and home opener on Friday October 28 and had high expectations entering this match up against the Lords. 

The Lords got out to an early 25-18 lead in the first quarter and had George Brown on their heels for a majority of the second quarter outscoring the Huskies 32-22 to take a commanding 17 point lead entering halftime with the score being 57-40. In the third quarter both sides scored 22 points but the Lords would maintain their lead. In the fourth quarter, the Huskies did manage to chip away the deficit going on a 9-0 scoring run brining the game to within eight points. George Brown would get as close as to within four points after a steal and a layup to make it 95-91. The Lords would earn a trip to the free throw line in the closing minutes and drain both to take the game 97-93.  

George Brown's  Chris Fields (5th Year) and Jereimah Brown (4th Year transfer from Loyalist) would combine for 40 points, along with Robert Ocampo (5th Year) who finished with 15 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Naseem Barry (2nd Year) added 11 points and six rebounds. Durham's Angelo Sarsonas finished with 25 points, eight assists and four rebounds to lead all scorers.
