HUSKIES BRING HOME SILVER AT PROVINCIALS

The George Brown Huskies took home a silver medal at the OCAA men's basketball champions for the second straight season after falling to the Humber Hawks 77-45 in the gold medal game on Sunday (Mar. 3) evening. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: George Brown struggled to make their shots fall in the opening quarter, shooting 3-for-18 through the first 10 minutes of play and being held to only eight points, while Humber nearly doubled their offensive output with 15. 

The Hawks added to their lead in the second quarter to go into halftime, leading 30-20 in the low-scoring affair. 

George Brown's offence continued to struggle, while Humber's offence exploded in the third quarter, scoring 26 points between six players. The game was finally put away in the fourth quarter as the Hawks won by a commanding 32 points. 

NOTABLES STATS: Third-year Jacob Masters was named the player of the game for the Huskies, scoring eight points and grabbing three boards. 

Masters and Christian Tabiri were named to OCAA Championship All-Stars.
