HUSKIES DROP FINALS DECISION AT SHERIDAN INVITATIONAL

The George Brown Huskies men’s indoor soccer team qualified for their fourth straight tournament final but this time fell 2-0 to Fanshawe College at the Sheridan Invitational on Saturday.

How it Happened: George Brown continued their impressive season in round-robin play. Three different Huskies found the back of the net to take down Mohawk College 3-1 to open their tournament. They did not slow down against St. Lawrence College. Ameer Kinani scored four of his nine goals on the day for the Huskies to win 8-0. George Brown finished off round-robin play with a 1-1 tie against Laurier Brantford and a 2-1 victory over St. Clair College.

Thanks to George Brown’s 3-0-1 record, they earned a spot in their fourth straight tournament final. The Fanshawe Falcons defence was able to slow down the Huskies to win the tournament with a 2-0 score.
