HUSKIES BEGIN SEASON BY WINNING CENTENNIAL INVITATIONAL

The George Brown Huskies men's indoor soccer team kicked off their championship defense in the best way by winning the Centennial Invitational on Saturday.

The Huskies were dominant in round-robin play. They outscored their opponents in Laurier Brantford, Sheridan, University of Toronto Mississauga and Lakehead, 23-4 to finish 4-0 and win the group.

They advanced the final where they battled the Humber Hawks. The two undefeated squads went back-and-forth throughout the match. After regulation, the score was tied a 3-3, which meant shootout. Similar to the match, both sides had their moments, but George Brown edged out Humber 5-4 in the shootout to win the tournament.
