HUSKIES GO 1-1 ON ROAD TRIP

The George Brown Huskies men's volleyball team split a pair of matches during their road trip out East. They fell to the Algonquin Thunder 3-0 (18-25, 16-25, 25-27), but followed it up with a shutout victory over the La Cite Coyotes 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-18) less than 24 hours later.

George Brown struggled to find their offence in Algonquin. Middle blocker Avery Titus posted a team-high eight points on four kills and four blocks, while fellow middle blocker Aric Chau was next best with six points on three blocks, two kills and an ace.

The Huskies bounced back in a big way against La Cite the next day. Right-side hitter Vivek Mathimakki posted a game-high 16 points on 11 kills, four blocks and an ace, while outside hitter Nathan Ostafichuk recorded six points on five kills and a block.

George Brown currently holds the sixth spot in the East division with a 8-7 record.
