GEORGE BROWN EXTENDS WINNING STREAK TO FIVE

The George Brown Huskies women's basketball team pushed their winning to five games after a 77-62 victory over Seneca Sting on the road Friday night.

Notable Stats: First-year forward Kayana Granger experienced a career-night. She went 9-of-13 from the field for a career-high 20 points, while adding nine rebounds, five steals and four assists.

Second-year forward Victoria Lawrence registered a double-double of 14 points, 11 rebounds and three steals. Veteran guard Zae Sellers recorded 15 points, three assists, and three steals in the win.

The Huskies defence continued to play a major factor in 2020. The unit held the Sting to shoot under 29% from the field.

George Brown improved their record to 12-3 on the season, which puts them third in the East division.

Up Next: The Huskies wrap up their regular season on Friday, February 21st when they host the Georgian Grizzlies. The Huskies will honour graduating player Zae Sellers prior to the game. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00pm.
