No. 13 HUSKIES DROP CONTEST TO COLTS

The George Brown Huskies women's basketball team fell to the Centennial Colts 75-62 on the road Friday night.

NOTABLE STATS: The Huskies (2-2) offence clicked to start the contest. Genève Biollo and Thorin Pangan recorded six and five points respectively to hand the team a 19-16 advantage after the first quarter. However, the Huskies' second quarter was the complete opposite as they went 3-for-16 from the field to find themselves down 40-29 to the Colts (3-1) at that half. That quarter was the difference the rest of the way.

First-year guard Genève Biollo dropped a career-high 14 points while adding four rebounds, two steals and two assists off the bench. Second-year guard Marian Konate filled up the stat sheet with 14 points, four steals, four rebounds and an assist.

First-year guard Thorin Pangan was highly efficient, going 5-10 from the field for 12 points, four rebounds and two steals in the loss.

UP NEXT: The Huskies will look to get back in the win column when they host the Durham Lords (1-2) on Friday night. Tip off is scheduled for 6 pm.
