A PAIR OF HUSKIES TAKE HOME OCAA HONOURS

A pair of Huskies rookies, Jordyn Dawkins and Kiara Graham, made quite the impression in their first college season. The guards earned OCAA honoured for their magnificent seasons at the OCAA hardware.

In her rookie season with the Huskies, Dawkins made an impact in various ways. Thanks to her impressive play, the guard was named an OCAA East Division Second Team All-Star and to the All-Rookie Team. Dawkins was an offensive juggernaut for the Huskies as she averaged a team-high 12.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in her first season. She posted a career-high 25 points in 25 minutes in a tight 76-72 loss to the Centennial Colts. In addition, she recorded double-digit points in 11 of 15 games.

Graham was the definition hit the court running in his first season with the Huskies, and the league recognized it. The guard earned a spot on the East Division All-Rookie Team. No matter the role she was put in, Graham excelled in every way. She filled up the state sheet averaging 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 steals and two assists per game. What was even more impressive was his efficiency shooting the basketball, going 41.9% from the field. The Huskies relied on her to score, rebound and defend on a nightly basis when the team needed a spark.
