WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ADDS KAPANGA

The George Brown Huskies women's basketball team is pleased to announce the commitment of Ketsia Kapanga as their first recruit ahead of the 2024-25 season.

"When I committed to George Brown, I felt immediate relief, like everything was finally fell into place,Kapanga explained. "George Brown is right at home, and the dental hygiene program has a great reputation."

The 5'10 forward is graduating from Agincourt Collegiate Institute at the school year's conclusion. Some of her accolades during her time there include a Provincial Championship and a Provincial bronze medal.

On the club side, she has played for the Scarborough Blues Association for the last few seasons.

Being a student-athlete involves many challenges, such as balancing school, practices, and games. However, Kapanga has a few goals she would like to accomplish during her time at George Brown College.

"I hope to learn more about the health field in the classroom and, for the court, learn how to play at a higher level, she said.

This past season, the team posted an 8-6 record, finished third in the East Division. They went on to host and win a playoff game for the first time since 2020.
