HUSKIES SEASON COMES TO AN END IN PKS

The women's soccer team fought extremely hard but dropped a 2-1 decision in penalty kicks to the Centennial Colts on the road Wednesday (Oct. 18) night.

HOW IT HAPPENED: In the season opener, these two teams played to a draw, and that trend continued over a month later. After 90 minutes, it was scoreless between the two squads, and overtime was needed.

It wasn't until the second half of overtime that a goal was recorded. The Colts opened the scoring off the foot of Simone Christie in the 104th minute. The Huskies responded quickly with a spectacular goal from fifth-year striker Ashley Osorio in the 118th minute.

No other goals were recorded, which meant penalty kicks were needed. Unfortunately for the Huskies, they couldn't come away with the victory.
