The Huskies took down the Fleming Phoenix 2-0 to record their first win of the season on Saturday (Sept. 20) afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Right from the opening whistle, the Huskies dictated the pace of play. That led to an early strike as Jennifer Seguin fed Annia Pavli a perfect through ball, and she made no mistake in the ninth minute.
The score remained the same for most of the match until the 88th minute, when Hailey Calixterio found the back of the net to seal the victory. Goalkeeper Sarah Anisha Van Wart-Bradbury earned the shutout, making seven saves.
UP NEXT: The Huskies stay at home and welcome the Lakehead Orillia Thunderwolves for the first time in OCAA history on Friday (Sept. 26) night. Kickoff is at 6pm
