Badminton players Sarthak Arora, and Thanawadee (Giselle) Kochapanya & Lok Yin (Monique) Lee are this week's Athletes of The Week for the period ending November 20, 2022.
Sarthak Arora (Badminton)
After going undefeated (5-0) in round robin play, second year Husky Sarthak Arora brought home gold in men’s singles play over the weekend at the Fanshawe Invitational. He also went undefeated (5-0) in mixed doubles action alongside Lok Yin (Monique) Lee, capturing another first place finish.
He also finished first in the men’s doubles B-flight with Dung Hoang (Erik) Nguyen to round out an extremely successful opening weekend to the 2022-23 season.
Giselle Kochapanya and Monique Lee (Badminton)
Giselle Kochapanya (1st Year) and Monique Lee (1st Year) went 3-1 in women's doubles over the weekend at the Fanshawe Invitational and brought home a silver medal in the 2022-23 season’s first tournament.
Lee also captured gold in mixed doubles alongside playing partner Sarthak Arora after going 5-0 in round robin play, while Kochapanya claimed first place in the mixed doubles B-flight with Srijan Ahuja.
