Makayla Cabral (Women's Soccer)
Women's Soccer faced off against Cambrian College and Sault College this past weekend. First-year Architectural Technology major Makayla Cabral had herself a day to remember as the rookie netted 3 goals against Cambrian on Saturday. Cabral was a major factor on the offensive side of the ball all game as she found ways to get open and put pressure on the Cambrian defence. Cabral will look to continue her scoring ways when the team takes on the St. Lawrence Vikings on Friday, September 4th at 6PM.
Filipe Vilela (Men's Soccer)
Men's Soccer had a dominant weekend against Cambrian and Sault College. One of the major contributors to the strong performance came from third-year striker Filipe Vilela. Vilela was a massive presence on the field, contributing eight of the team's 16 goals. He currently sits 4th in league scoring, only 3 points behind top spot. The veteran has captured the league scoring title for the past two seasons and looks to three-peat. The team will try to keep its winning streak going as they travel to Kingston to faceoff against the St.Lawrence Vikings on Friday, September 4th at 8:15PM.
