ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Tatyana Lopez (Women's Soccer)
George Brown Women's Soccer opened up their 2019 season with a 4-1 win over the Loyalist Lancers on Friday night. Lopez had a major impact on the game as she was highly efficient on both sides of the ball throughout the full 90 minutes, creating a lot of positive situations that led to the team's offensive success.
Next, up the Huskies will face off against the Durham Lords in the Huskies Home Opener on Friday, September 13th 6:30pm kickoff.
David DeCassan (Baseball)
George Brown Men's Baseball team hit the field this past Sunday down at Christie Pits as they welcomed the St. Clair Saints to the diamond. Despite the 6-2 loss, pitcher David DeCassan threw a strong 6.2 innings of ball coming up with 2 strikeouts and holding St. Clair to just 3 runs till the top of the 6th. "Every time we send David out there we know exactly what we're getting. He gives us gutsy performances and we've always got a chance to win", said Coach AJ Wideman.
The Huskies will look to get a win when they head to Humber to face off in a doubleheader against the Hawks Wednesday, September 11th first pitch 5pm.
