FULL VACCINATION REQUIRED FOR OCAA PARTICIPANTS

OCAA

The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA), with the unanimous approval of its member institutions, announced today that all conference participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to participating in OCAA-sanctioned programming and events.

Effective Oct. 20, 2021, all OCAA participants (i.e., student-athletes, coaches, support staff, athletic therapists, officials) must provide proof of being fully vaccinated (14 days after their second dose) to their respective institution to be eligible to participate in any OCAA-sanctioned competition. All participants (including those with exemptions as determined by their respective institution) are required to adhere to testing protocols, unless they have provided proof of being fully vaccinated.

Individuals with approved vaccination exemptions (as determined by their respective institution) will be required to produce a negative rapid antigen under testing protocols. For events taking place prior to Oct. 20, 2021, all participants are required to have a negative rapid antigen, unless they have proof of being fully vaccinated.

All protocols in regards to COVID-19 are subject to change at any time as directed by government regulations and public health orders.

OCAA participants are encouraged to reach out to their respective member institution for further details.
