Email: luke.sim@georgebrown.ca
Coach Sim attended the University of Western Ontario and won four OUA silver medals, and one CIS silver medal as a Middle Blocker. After 5 years at university level, Sim went on to play volleyball professionally for a club in Stockholm, Sweden. Sim now remains heavily involved in the volleyball community through coaching. He has a lot of experience working as an assistant coach at the club and university level, and for the past seven summers, has run a beach volleyball camp for kids of all ages and skill levels.

Sim will be taking over as Interim Head Coach for the 2023-24 OCAA volleyball season while Sam Schachter takes a leave of absence to embark on his 2024 Paris Olympics qualifying run (beach volleyball).

In his second year as Interim Head Coach, Luke Sim's leadership and expertise proved invaluable to the team, earning him the title of OCAA East Division Coach of the Year. Under his guidance, the Huskies improved their win count by eight from the previous year, ending with an impressive 11-7 record and securing fourth place in the division, and hosting a crossover playoff match for the first time since 2018. George Brown showcased their strength by ranking among the top eight in the OCAA in several key metrics, including kills per set, total attacks, hitting percentage, and assists per set. The team achieved this successful season with a youthful roster, with 14 out of the 16 players in their first or second year of eligibility.
