The George Brown Huskies men's indoor soccer team advanced to the Provincial Championships after going 4-0 and finishing first in their pool at Regionals on Tuesday (Feb. 27) afternoon.
Even more impressive was that they outscored their opponents 21-1 throughout the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED: In their first match, George Brown shut out the Confederation Thunderhawks by a score of 6-0.
The second match was a very hard-fought one against the Sheridan Bruins. The score remained 1-1 in the second half, but the Huskies were able to score two late goals to seal the victory at 3-1.
Their next two matches were against the Seneca Stinga and the Lakehead Orilla Thunderwolves, and both ended with George Brown winning by a score of 6-0.
UP NEXT: The men are off to the OCAA Provincial Championships on March 7-8 at the Ontario Soccer Centre. Stay tuned to find out who the Huskies will face in round-robin play.
