Will Schram was named head coach of the Huskies badminton program in October of 2016.
Since taking over the program, the Huskies have been a consistent threat for medals on the provincial and national stage. Under his watch, the program has accumulated six gold medals, six silver medals, five bronze medals and six-team championship titles at the OCAA level. He has also found success at the CCAA National Championships, coaching student-athletes to one gold medal, four silver medals and four bronze medals at the CCAA National Championships.
He coached Huyen Le to George Brown’s first-ever Badminton CCAA national banner after winning the gold medal in Women’s Singles and completing a perfect 35-0 campaign during the 2019-2020 season.
He has been a badminton professional at the Boulevard Club for 21 years. A graduate and former varsity player at Humber College, Schram is a former top-four singles player in Canada, a provincial singles champion, and a member of the Canada Winter Games and Ontario Winter Games teams.
