Women’s Volleyball outside hitter Kaarina Niemimaa and Men’s Volleyball left side Yaroslav Svidritskiy have been named the Huskies Athletes of the Week for the period ending November 10th.
The outside hitter was everywhere on the court. Offensively, she recorded 25 points off 18 kills, five service aces, and two blocks over two matches. Defensively, she tallied 38 total digs.
In the match against St. Lawrence, she recorded a team-high 14 points on 10 kills, three service aces, and a block, while posting a career-high 24 digs.

The outside hitter was a force over the weekend for the Huskies, posting 42 points on 32 kills and 10 service aces, while adding 11 digs over two matches.
He was unstoppable in the team’s shutout victory over St. Lawrence, tallying 18 points on 12 kills and six service aces, while recording a team-high five digs.
