RECREATION ACTIVITIES: SPRING 2024

Athletic Centres at St James Campus and Casa Loma Campus each include a fitness centre, single gymnasium, fitness studio, locker rooms, and changerooms with private showers and private changing stalls.

The Athletic Centre at Waterfront includes a fitness centre and changerooms with private showers.

Learn to Lift

Our certified personal trainer, Brian Le, will be guiding you through the basics of lifting by focusing on technique, form and safety.

Recreational One-Day Tournament

Register to compete in a one-day tournament open to all levels of play. Pre-registration is required to guarantee a spot in the tournament. Both individual and team sport tournaments offered!

Break the Record Challenge 

Think you have what it takes to break the record? Come to the Athletic Centre to take the challenge.  New records will be posted bi-weekly. Husky prizes will be awarded to the winners.

Cricket Wicket 

Attempt to hit the cricket wicket with ten throws attempt. The participant will be timed with 1 min to hit it as many times as they can.

 Plank Test your endurance by determining how long you can maintain your plank position.

Soccer Keep Ups  The challenge is to use the soccer ball to make the most consecutive keep-up possible. The count ends when the ball hits the ground, and that becomes your number.

 Football Throw   Take on the thrilling Football Throw challenge, in which you have three minutes to strike targets that are strategically placed across the gym. The person with the time closest to this standard will set the record to break. Are you ready to make your mark?

Basketball 3 Point Contest    In this contest, participants attempt to make as many three-point field goals as possible from five positions behind the three-point line in one minute

 Badminton   Placing the 15 birdies precisely in specific areas on the badminton court—each spot worth a different number of points—is the aim of the task. Add your points at the finish by counting all your successfully placed birdies, for a total.
