Title: Women's Volleyball Head Coach (7th Season)
Email: daphne.choi@georgebrown.ca

Daphne Choi was named head coach of the women's volleyball program in June of 2017.

Since she took over, the program has only improved yearly and made history during her time. In 2018-19, the team finished with an 8-10 record and placed 5th in the East Division, which qualified them for the program's first crossover playoff match since the program was inaugurated in 2006-07. The very next season, they took another massive step as they posted a program-best 11-7 record and placed fourth in the East Division. It marked the first time the program hosted a crossover playoff match. During the 2022-23 season, the team finished with the best season in program history with a 12-6 record, and they hosted their second home playoff match ever. Choi was named GBC Coach of the Year for her outstanding work that season.

Choi has been coaching with Volleyball Canada since 2013, where she has worked on developing some of the country's top young talent for provincial and national play. She is the head coach of the 16U Etobicoke Titans Volleyball Club, head coach of a Region Five 'A' team that won gold, and has had roles as a head coach and club co-director with the Toronto United Volleyball Club since 2012.

In addition to her prior work outside of the college, Choi spent the second semester of the 2016-17 season on the Huskies bench shadowing former head coach and Michigan State Hall of Famer Dana Cooke, an invaluable experience and one that allowed her to familiarize herself with the program.
