Women’s soccer midfielder Jennifer Seguin and men's soccer midfielder Anas El-Bogi have been named Huskies athletes of the week for the period ending September 26.
Seguin opened the scoring with a beautiful strike just outside the 18-yard box to give the Huskies the early lead in the first half. The first-year midfielder was a key part of the offensive plays that were delivered throughout the match.
El-Bogi scored two of the team’s four goals in a 4-1 victory over the Sault Cougars. When the score was tied up at 1-1, the third-year midfielder found the back of the net in the final minutes of the opening half to give the Huskies the lead. He followed it up with the team’s third and much-needed insurance goal to put the match out of reach in the second half.
