George Brown Huskies men’s indoor soccer team Mathew DaSilva was named an OCAA Star of the Week for his outstanding play last week.

DaSilva helped lead defending champion George Brown to an undefeated Pool B round-robin record at the suspended OCAA provincials held at Redeemer on Mar. 12. He scored a team-high three goals in three matches as George Brown played to a record of 2-0-1, finishing in first place at Redeemer College. DaSilva scored a pair of goals in a key 5-0 win over UTM and had a single tally in a 3-3 draw versus St. Clair.

DaSilva did not register a goal in the Huskies 4-0 win over Sheridan, but played a big role in the match. George Brown was set to play Fanshawe in the semi-finals, having won two of the past three Provincial Championships.
