ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
David DeCassan (Baseball)

Third-year Huskies pitcher David DeCassan (Nobleton, Ontario) etched his name in the OCAA record books when he broke the league record for Most Innings Pitched in a Season with 44, surpassing the previous top mark of 41 innings held by Ilija Bozinovski (Durham College) dating back to 2014-15. DeCassan has been a steady force on the mound for the Huskies this season as a regular starter, averaging 5.5 innings per outing. Over his career, he has appeared in 24 games pitching a total of 96.2 innings with a career average of just under three strikeouts per nine innings.

Ameer Kinani (Men's Soccer)

First-year Huskies forward Ameer Kinani (Toronto, Ontario) was firing on all cylinders this weekend against the Centennial Colts. Kinani netted the team's last four goals within the last 20 minutes of the match, two of the goals coming in the 70th minutes and the other two in the 80th minutes of play. The rookie has been a massive scoring threat all season and sits 7th in the province in goals scored with seven. Kinani and the Huskies will look to keep their goal-scoring surge up as they take on Fleming College tonight at 8PM in Peterborough to close out the regular season.
