Behind strong outings on the mound from a pitcher combination of Joe Giansante (3.1 innings), David DeCassan (1.2 innings) and Anthony Buonaiuto (2 innings), the George Brown bats exploded for eight runs in the 4th inning of last night's game versus Seneca to come away with a solid 9-4 victory.

"Our matchups with Seneca always provide drama. Last night was no different. It was high energy and highly entertaining from start to finish", said second year manager AJ Wideman. "The fourth inning proved to be the difference as our bats exploded for 8 runs. I thought our pitching staff handled their high power offense well. All in all, a key win and a confidence boost."

Second year 3rd baseman Brandon Nieva continued his season-long steady performance at the plate going 3-4 with two RBIs on the night, both RBIs coming off a double in the Huskies' high scoring inning. Nieva leads the team in batting average (.333) and slugging percentage (.511).

With 13 batters seeing a plate appearance in the 4th inning alone, the Huskies took full advantage to capitalize on two errors in the inning by the Sting defense. A 3-run home run in the top of the 5th inning by Sting slugger Daniel Perrier cut the lead to 5, but that is as close as Seneca would come to closing the gap.
