The men's basketball team fell 72-63 to the Algonquin Wolves in their home opener on Friday (Oct. 25) night.
HOW IT HAPPENED: It was a close game from the opening tip. Both sides had their runs, with the Wolves leading 30-29 at the half.
The Huskies dominated the third quarter, with six players contributing points, taking a slight 48-42 lead into the fourth. With the score at 54-47 and around seven minutes remaining, Algonquin went on a 25-9 run to close the game.
NOTABLE STATS: Third-year forward Raheem Roberts came off the bench with 12 points, five rebounds, and two blocks, while fourth-year forward Naseem Barry contributed 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal.
UP NEXT: The Huskies (0-2) wrap up the weekend on Saturday (Oct. 26) against the La Cite Coyotes (0-1). Tip-off is at 7 pm.
