The George Brown Huskies closed the chapter on the 2024-25 season Friday night (April 4), hosting the 55th Annual Athletic Awards at the Glenn Gould Studio.
The evening celebrated the pack's standout accomplishments from the season, including a CCAA National bronze medal and two CCAA All-Canadian honours.
Badminton duo Kaylee Choi and Sarah Song and men's soccer defender Mark Do Coito were named Female and Male Athletes of the Year, respectively.
Choi and Song dominated in Women's Doubles, capturing both a Provincial gold and a National bronze. They also helped lead the team to the Women's Team Championship banner for the first time since 2020 and were both named OCAA First Team All-Stars. Choi capped off her season by also earning Female Rookie of the Year.
Do Coito delivered one of the greatest individual seasons in Huskies history. He became the first Husky since 2018 to earn East Division Player of the Year, CCAA All-Canadian, and OCAA League Scoring Champion honours. He was also named an East Division First Team All-Star for the third straight year. In addition, the fourth-year standout helped the team secure silver at the OCAA Indoor Soccer Championships, where he was named a Championship All-Star.
