In his first season at the helm, Howard Wong was voted OCAA Badminton Coach of the Year.
Before taking over as head coach, Wong spent nearly 15 years as an assistant, learning from former head coaches Will Schram and Kim Ng. He hit the ground running in his first season, orchestrating one of the strongest rosters in the province and making the Huskies a consistent threat in every discipline.
The highlight of the season came at the Conestoga Invitational, where the team earned silver medals in three of the five disciplines, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Men’s Singles, while three other teams reached the semi-finals.
Howard's award marks the second straight season that a Huskies coach has won OCAA Badminton Coach of the Year.
