The men's basketball team secured their first win of the season, defeating the La Cite Coyotes 71-66 at home on Saturday (Oct. 26) evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED: With a 35-35 tie at halftime, La Cite started the third quarter on a 7-2 run. However, the Huskies responded with a 17-10 surge to lead 54-52 going into the fourth.

The final 10 minutes were all about Nas Robert and Naseem Barry, who combined to shoot 7-of-7 from the field, scoring 16 of the team's 17 points to clinch the win.

NOTABLE STATS: Barry led with a game-high 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting, along with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Nas Robert was flawless, going 5-of-5 for 12 points, six rebounds, and a steal.

UP NEXT: The Huskies face the Loyalist Lancers (1-1) on Saturday (Nov. 2) afternoon. Tip-off is at 5 pm.
