HUSKIES DROP DECISION TO No. 14 HAWKS

The George Brown Huskies women's soccer team fell to the No. 14 Humber Hawks (2-1) 7-0 on the road Wednesday (Sept. 29) afternoon at Ontario Soccer Centre.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Right from the get-go, the Hawks were flying. Striker Kaitlynn Russell recorded a hat-trick in the first 25 minutes of the match. The Huskies kept the Hawks offence off the score sheet for the next 40 minutes but could not generate any goals. Humber added a few more in the second half to put it out of reach.

First-year goalkeeper Mahima Patil played very well against one of the top offences in the country. She recorded a career-high 14 saves in the loss.

UP NEXT: The Huskies (1-2) will battle the Sault Cougars (0-3) for the second time in a week at home on Saturday (Oct. 2) afternoon. Kick-off is set for 12:30 p.m. at Esther Shiner Stadium.
