Women’s volleyball outside hitter Angelique Agustin and men’s volleyball left side hitter Nathanael Masson have been named Huskies athletes of the week for the period ending December 12th.
Agustin was in the zone in the Huskies final exhibition match against the Seneca Sting. On Sunday afternoon, the fourth-year outside hitter posted a game-high 18 points off 16 kills and two service aces while adding three digs. Every time the Huskies needed a kill to stop the Sting’s momentum, Agustin came up with a massive shot. It’s the second week in a row that she was named Athlete of the Week.
Masson continued his impressive play during exhibition action. The fourth-year left side hitter tallied 19 points off 15 kills, two blocks and two service aces while adding six digs over two matches last week. On Sunday afternoon, his best performance came against the Seneca Sting, when he posted a team-high 13 points on 10 kills, two service aces and a block while also putting up a team-high five digs.
