Women's Soccer striker Sonia Chwalek and Men's Soccer midfielder Matthias Broomes have been named the Huskies athletes of the week for the period ending September 17.
First year Husky Sonia Chwalek has been making a quick name for the herself in the OCAA. The speedy midfielder/forward needed only her second game of the season to find the back of the net five times in a 13-0 win over Fleming, along with one assist for 11 points.
Broomes was stellar in the Huskies 12-0 romp over the Fleming Nights, scoring four goals on the evening on only five shots on goals in 63 minutes of play. The rookie now has five goals and three assists on the season, putting him at the top of the OCAA leaderboard early on.
