MEN'S INDOOR SOCCER PITCH SHUTOUT IN CLAIMING THIRD STRAIGHT HUSKIES INDOOR SOCCER TITLE

For the third consecutive year George Brown's men's indoor soccer team won the Huskies own tournament, running the table on Thursday at the Ontario Soccer Centre by going a perfect 4-0 and capping the day with a 3-0 shutout of Seneca in the finals.

The home team defeated Sault 3-0, St. Lawrence 2-0 and Canadore 5-0 in round-robin play, outscoring opponents by a total of 13-0 in a dominant performance.

The Huskies men's team has now won two of three tournaments to open the season, having taken home the title at the season-opening UTM tournament as well.

On the women's side of things, the Huskies were angling for their second consecutive Huskies tournament title. George Brown went 2-0-1 in round-robin play, defeating Georgian 2-0 and St. Lawrence 1-0 as well as drawing Sault 0-0.

Again George Brown drew the Sting in the finals, but this time Seneca would come out on top with a 2-0 victory.

The results marks the women's second consecutive strong outing to open the year, following up a solid performance at the Redeemer tournament last week.
