The George Brown Huskies women's volleyball team shut out the La Cite Coyotes 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-22) in their season finale at home on Sunday afternoon.
NOTABLE STATS: After winning the first two sets over Coyotes, the Huskies were down 19-16 in the third set. After head coach Daphne Choi called a timeout, the team rallied up a 9-3 run to snag the third and final set.
Third-year outside hitter Ashley Lau matched a season-high 16 points off of 10 kills, five service aces and a block. She also hit double-digit digs for the fourth time in the last five matches with 13. First-year outside hitter Emily Braam posted 10 points on eight kills and two blocks in the victory.
On the defensive side, fourth-year Angelique Agustin registered a match-high 14 digs and five points.
The Huskies finish the season with a 3-5 record and sit in fifth place in the East Division.
UP NEXT: The team will play their first-round playoff match on the road on Thursday, March 10th. The opponent and time will be announced early next week.
