Volleyball players Ashley Lau (4th Year) and Joseph Lee (1st Year) are this week’s Athletes of the Week for the period ending February 12, 2023.
Ashley Lau (Women’s Volleyball)
Ashley Lau has been a stalwart since joining the George Brown women’s volleyball program in 2018, Ashley Lau has currently played in 61 matches for the Huskies. In her 4 seasons, the versatile player has collected 534 digs, 281 kills and 58 assists. Stats aside, her positive attitude and spirit has kept the group united. As an experienced veteran, Ashley brings an added level of professionalism to the team and has grown as a leader through her tenure with the Huskies. Ashley is set to graduate this Spring from the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Hospitality Program.
In her matches from the weekend, Ashley continued to showcase her versality by collecting three assists and an incredible 51 digs as the Huskies split their weekend with the Wolves (win) and Coyotes (loss).
Joseph Lee (Men’s Volleyball)
First year middle, Joseph Lee has been a great addition to the men’s volleyball program bringing a combination of height and power to the team. In his matches from the weekend, the Business Administration – Finance student collected 23 points including 22 kills on 56 attempts along with 16 digs and one serving ace.
