MEN’S BASEBALL WELCOMES WAGENHOFFER TO 2021 ROSTER

MEN’S BASEBALL WELCOMES WAGENHOFFER TO 2021 ROSTER

The George Brown College Men’s Baseball program is pleased to announce the addition of Brady Wagenhoffer for the 2021 season.

The 6-foot-0 catcher joins the Huskies after graduating from Dr. J.M. Denison Secondary School. He believes George Brown College checks all the boxes he’s looking for on the diamond and in the classroom.

“[Huskies head coach] AJ [Wideman] came and watched a couple of my games, which I really appreciated. When he brought me out to watch the 2019 OCAA Baseball Championship in Durham, it gave me more interest in joining George Brown,” he explained. “Since COVID hit, I have been in constant communication with AJ. Everything is run very professionally under him, and I like where the team is heading. Taking that and the schooling into consideration, it was a no-brainer to become a Husky.”

The Newmarket, Ont., native has quite the resume during his young career. He played for East York and Toronto Cardinals for the last couple of seasons but also represented the province on a few occasions. He was on both the U13 Ontario squad in 2015 and the U15 Ontario team in 2017.

“We’re very excited to have Brady aboard,” head coach Wideman explained. “His work ethic and ability behind the plate speaks for itself. We anticipate him contributing immediately on the field and look forward to what he can achieve academically.”

Wagenhoffer will be enrolled in the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technician Program come this September.
