HUSKIES WIN FIVE-SET THRILLER

HUSKIES WIN FIVE-SET THRILLER

The men's volleyball team came back to take down the Durham Lords 3-2 (23-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-15, 15-10) on the road Thursday night.

The Huskies have won seven of their last eight matches.

NOTABLE STATS: George Brown had a trio of unbelievable performances. First-year outside hitter David Froebel posted 20 points off 17 kills and three blocks.

Second-year outside hitter David Kiswa dropped 20 points on 17 kills, two service aces, a block and nine digs, while second-year outside hitter Daniel Kwan put up 19 points on 17 kills, a service ace and a block.

First-year setter Noah Park registered a match-high 41 assists, which is the fifth time he's recorded over 40 assists in a match.

The Huskies improve their record to 9-4 on the season. With the victory, their three wins ahead of the Durham Lords (6-7) and Seneca Sting (6-7) for the fourth spot in the East Division. The reason why that's important is because the top four teams in the division host a first-round playoff match.

UP NEXT: The Huskies continue their road trip on Saturday aftenoon against the Fleming Phoenix. First serve is at 3pm.
