LIBAN MOHAMED, ROBERT OCAMPO STAR AT WEST/WEST CLASSIC TO EARN HUSKIES ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONOURS

Liban Mohamed (Men's Basketball)

Checking in as the Huskies leading scorer this fall, averaging over 15 points a night, Mohamed served the east notice at the annual Holiday Classic last week. The 6'4" Toronto native averaged 28 points a game as George Brown went 2-1 against the best the east has to offer, shooting 31-for-66 from the field while going 17-for-42 from beyond the arc. Mohamed also did work on the glass, chipping in with a combined 21 rebounds from the wing. As 9-1 George Brown prepares to open the second half, Mohamed's performance against several of Ontario's top programs sets the stage as the Huskies battle for playoff position.

They will open the second half Friday, January 11 playing host to Centennial at Casa Loma Campus.

Robert Ocampo (Men's Basketball)

6'0" guard Robert Ocampo played his best basketball of the season over the break, closing the East/West Classic with 22 and 25 point performances in a pair of wins over Fanshawe and Sheridan. The Manila native was red-hot from the three-point line, going 4-for-9 against the Falcons and 6-for-12 against the Bruins. For all of George Brown's offensive success this fall, they have struggled at times from beyond the arc (26.7%). If Ocampo can continue his sharpshooting come winter it will add another dimension to an already dangerous, deep set of weapons.
