HUSKIES BEAT SENECA IN FIVE-SETTER

The Huskies took down the Seneca Sting in an epic 3-2 (26-28, 25-19, 25-19, 31-33, 15-11) match at home on Wednesday (Jan. 29) night.

NOTABLE STATS: Yaroslav Svidritskiy posted a career-high 32 points on 27 kills, three service aces and two blocks.

Julien Jouan matched a season-high 18 points on 14 kills and four service aces, while Andrew Rong recorded a match-high 44 assists and seven points.

UP NEXT: The Huskies (8-7) are back on the court on Friday (Jan. 31) night against the Centennial Colts (13-4). All the action starts at 8pm.

George Brown College Athletics and Recreation would like to thank our graduating students for their commitment to the team over their Huskies careers. Our 2024-25 graduating Men's Volleyball student-athletes are:  

#2 Pedro Santos
A member of the Huskies men's volleyball team since 2023, Santos has showcased his skills, commitment and energy. In 27 career matches, the libero has posted 112 digs. His dedication will be missed as he leaves the program. He will graduate from the Business Administration – Finance program.

#6 Ronan Vezsenyi
Vezsenyi has been a part of the Huskies men's volleyball program since 2023. His athleticism, serving abilities, and defense have been tremendous during this time. In 23 career matches, he has recorded 166 points, 125 kills, 29 service aces, and 12 blocks. He will graduate from the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technician program.

#9 Brandon Chan
The libero joined the Huskies in 2023 and been a staple ever since. He has place in 28 career matches posting 101 digs. His commitment and support for the team was top notched. He will be graduating from the Fashion Business Industry program.

#11 Christopher Chong
Chong joined the men's volleyball program in 2023. His leadership and attitude have been top-notch. He has played in 18 career matches, averaging just under a point per set. He will graduate from the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technician program.

#18 Andrew Rong
Joining the Huskies this season, Rong has proven to be the maestro of the team's offence. In 13 matches, the setter has registered 385 assists, 51 points, 39 digs, and 20 blocks. Notably, he achieved over 40 assists in a match on four occasions this season. He will graduate from the Project Management Postgraduate Program.

#20 Julien Jouan
Recruited to the program this season, Jouan has solidified the team's right side. In 13 career matches, he has recorded 157 points, 116 kills, 23 blocks, and 18 service aces. His calm demeanor and impactful plays will be missed. He will graduate from the Culinary Skills program.
