ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Badminton players Giselle Kochapanya, Sarthak Arora and Monique Lee are this week's Athletes of The Week for the period ending February 5, 2023.


Giselle Kochapanya (Badminton)

Giselle Kochapanya finished in second place collecting the silver medal in the women’s singles disciplines at the OCAA East Regional Championships hosted by Collège Boréal in Sudbury over the weekend (Feb 3 and 4). The Event Planning student, finished the tournament with a 1-1 record, enough to advance to the OCAA Provincial Championships scheduled to take place February 16-18.

Sarthak Arora & Monique Lee (Badminton)

Sarthak Arora and Monique Lee represented George Brown in the mixed doubles discipline at the OCAA East Regional Championships and brought home the gold medal. Arora (Project Management student) and Lee (Computer Systems Technician student), finished with a 3-0 record and will now advance to the OCAA Provincial Championships alongside teammate Giselle Kochapanya.
