Women's Doubles pair Monique Lee and Giselle Kochapanya and Women's Basketball guard Jaycelyn Valencia are your Huskies Athletes of the Week for the period ending February 18th.
The duo claimed the gold medal in the Women's Doubles at the Provincial Badminton Championships with a flawless 7-0 record, marking the program's first gold in this category since 1991. They only dropped one set during their run to the top.
They also secured a spot at the CCAA Badminton National Championships scheduled from February 29th to March 2nd at Seneca College.

The third-year guard showcased remarkable shooting abilities in the playoff victory against the Redeemer Royals, sinking four three-pointers to help tally 13 points. She also contributed eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
Her clutch performance shined in the fourth quarter, where she scored seven of the team's 16 points, propelling the Huskies to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2020.
