FIVE HUSKIES RECEIVE RECOGNITION IN REGIONAL COMPETITION

Following standout performances at the East Regional Championships, five members of the Huskies, Monique Lee, Giselle Kochapanya, Henry Chan, Kent Ayco, and Will Schram, secured individual OCAA honours.

In her second year, Lee added to her impressive list of achievements, securing the titles of OCAA Women’s Badminton Player of the Year and Women’s East Division Player of the Year. She was also recognized as an OCAA Women’s East Regional All-Star. Lee's doubles partner, Kochapanya, was also named an OCAA Women’s East Regional All-Star. The duo dominated at the East Regional Championships posting a 4-0 without dropping a single set in round-robin play.

The Men's Doubles team comprising Chan and Ayco received OCAA Badminton Men’s East Regional All-Star honours. Their flawless performance at the East Regional Championships saw them finish first in their pool with an undefeated record and no sets dropped.

Additionally, Head Coach Will Schram's outstanding leadership throughout the season led to him being named OCAA Badminton East Division Coach of the Year. The Huskies truly excelled this season, qualifying for three of five disciplines at the upcoming OCAA Provincial Championships.
