MEN’S BASEBALL ADDS ROBERTSON

MEN’S BASEBALL ADDS ROBERTSON

The George Brown Huskies men’s baseball team is pleased to announce Ethan Robertson's commitment to play for the program beginning in September.

“Ethan is a very exciting addition to our program. He is a legitimate two-way player who comes with a high level of baseball intelligence and maturity and knows how to play the game the right way,” Josh Appel explained. “We will look for Ethan to jump in and make an impact for us right away this fall, both in the infield and on the mound. He is a well-rounded player, plays the game hard and off the field is the type of quality student-athlete that we want representing our program on campus and in the community. We are thrilled that he chose George Brown.”

Robertson brings versatility to the Huskies, having experience playing shortstop and pitcher. The Barrie, Ont., native has been with the Barrie Baycats the last few seasons and was part of a 2016 AA OBA Championship title and a 2023 18U OBA Championship.

“I decided to commit to George Brown because I heard they have a great HVAC program for my education as well as great coaching and good environment to be around on the team,” Robertson said.

He will enroll in the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technician program. Robertson is excited to be a Husky and ready for everything it offers.

“My initial reaction when I officially committed to be a husky was excited for this new chapter in my life and to gain real life experiences that will help me grow,” Robertson said. “I hope to learn new skills that will help me in the future accomplish the goals that I set out for myself.”

The men's baseball program had another strong season, finishing with an 8-10 record. The team just missed the playoffs by one game.
